The Devastating Impact of Coronavirus on Jackson

Jackson

Coronavirus is the new coronavirus, and it’s not going to be pretty. For many people, this is the first time in their lives that they have to be at home, so they’re already on edge. These moments can be uncomfortable and stressful. Many of us are starting to feel anxious about being home and worried about the virus. A friend shared with me that he got up at 5 a.m.

Jackson, a Jackson-area resident, has been very worried about the pandemic. While most of us in Jackson is familiar with the disease, we don't know the extent of what it can do to a community. Jackson has seen some of the most severe impacts of the disease, including hospitalizations that have resulted in some major complications. While he's the only Jackson-area resident who has contracted it, he's worried that it might spread to other parts of the state.

The question is, should Jackson, a relatively new community, be concerned?

While at least one of its residents has died from COVID-19, the disease did not affect Jackson. As a result, they may be just as afraid as any other Jacksonians. Because of this, they are preparing for a very possible future outbreak, so they need to protect themselves.

In fact, the latest Jackson-area news is that one of its residents, Dr. James Hines, has contracted the virus and has died. Dr. Hines' death was announced to the public on July 22. He was 46. Jackson's Jackson Health District has been handling the coronavirus deaths.

Jackson’s Jackson Health District has been handling the coronavirus death of Dr. James Hines. Dr. Hines was a prominent Jacksonian physician and a member of the Jackson Health District Board of Directors.

Jackson, which has just been hit badly by COVID-19, has now closed all non-essential businesses, including restaurants, bars, and other non-essential entertainment venues. The Jackson Health Districts press release said the coronavirus death of Dr. James Hines “may have been a tragic but swift death.

When I first heard about the COVID-19 virus, I thought it was a joke. But I realized that, yes, the death of Dr. James Hines was real. I don’t know if it was an accident or if it was deliberate, but the death of Dr. Hines has left an impact on Jackson that will, for better or worse, be felt for some time.

Dr. Hines was an infectious diseases specialist who worked at Jackson for 25+ years. He was the second physician in Jackson to take over the health district, following Dr. Alan Schatz. The district has since been severely impacted by the coronavirus, and Dr. Hines was the only one to survive the virus.
