An Exclusive Sneak Peak at What's Next for Venus

The following is the first of two posts that will introduce you to a new VR video from the team at The Science of Life called Venus. This isn’t the first time we have released an entirely new VR video, but this one is for our loyal, growing Venus community.

For this video, we spent a little over a month (just over three weeks) working on a new VR video from The Science of Life called Venus. The team spent a lot of time tweaking the visuals, adding new objects and environments, and adding new gameplay.


To cut a long story short, the video was created in order to help the team make a little more money in the VR ecosystem.

By making the video we are creating more VR content, we are helping ourselves.


This is important because the way VR works is that content is created and published in order to get a higher return on investment. The more content we create, the more money we can make, and the more people will want to join our community, so we can make a lot of money.


So how does the VR community benefit? Well, the more VR content we create, the more people will want to join our community, thus adding more people to our game, which means more sales, which means more money, which means more people will want to buy our game. It's pretty self-evident.


The same goes for publishers and developers like ourselves making their own content on the platform we have. We get a higher return on that investment, which means we can work on a game that has the potential to become a mainstream hit.

The problem with this is that VR is a fad. We’re doing what we’re doing now because we want to be the best in the industry, but we’re also doing what we’re doing because we want to be successful. It’s a win-win situation. If we’re successful.


we’ll have more people playing our games and more people interested in our products.



Venus


The problem is you have to have your VR content made because you don't have the ability to make your own content. We can, however, start making some VR content (we're just at the first level) so we can have some of our players have a bit of a taste of what they can do in the future.


And if that was a concern, we probably should have made it a requirement that you had to be a member of an online gaming club to play our games, which would have made it a lot more difficult to get in, but we thought that was unlikely to happen and so we didn't.


Venus is one of the most exciting new games we've made to date. Our original idea behind our game was to make a game where you can make your own planets, but that was quickly changed to make it an online game where you can play with other players. That's what we've ended up with, a game where you can explore different planets, learn about new worlds, and have to fight your way through to the end.
