I think we all have a tendency to look like that because we want to and we don’t have any other style of personality. It is true that we can get a little too self-sabotaging and self-aware, but I think people don’t notice that. It is a good thing to let go of the self-talk and go on a holiday or something and go on as a family.
I think there’s a lot of people who are overly self-aware. It is a necessary evil. It is part of the human condition. It’s nice to have a little bit of that kind of self-awareness. It’s nice to not be so easily self-assured.
Self-awareness, or awareness of our own thoughts and feelings, is the first step on a path toward self-control.
We need to be aware of ourselves first.
If we don’t recognize ourselves and it’s not easy to do, then we won’t be able to control ourselves. That’s the point. Awareness is the first step as a human being. There isn’t a lot of difference between awareness and self-awareness, but awareness is the first step.
The same principle applies to self-control. If you start to think about self-control, you’ll eventually begin to realize that we’re all the same. This is true for everything. If you don’t start to think about your own self-control, you can’t control yourself; the key is to start to control yourself as well.
When we start to control ourselves we start to control how our thinking works.
We can get caught up in too many of the same ideas and techniques. We can’t control what we’re thinking about in a positive way. We can’t control our own thoughts when we’re thinking about something that is important to us. We can’t control what we think about the world around us when we’re thinking about it about.
When we’re on autopilot for so long, then we’re actually going to spend hours on autopilot without thinking about anything. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions have become so ingrained that we don’t even realize it’s happening. Every time we’re on autopilot we have to have a little bit of it. For now, I think the biggest thing we can do is to try to make up for our lack of thinking.

This is because we spend so much time talking to ourselves.
We’re so preoccupied with other people that we forget that there’s a world out there and that we’re in it. We’re really only “in it” because of how much we’ve conditioned ourselves to do so.
As we’ve learned so many times, the first step is to stop and think. When we stop to think, we’re able to change our behavior, our outlook, and even our perspective. So when we’re spending hours on autopilot we’re actually spending hours on autopilot in a way that’s not consciously aware of.
We need to do the same thing with ourselves.
We need to stop thinking that we’re the only person who has ever had to deal with the stress and chaos of life and start thinking of ourselves in that same way.
