I don’t need to go to a book to know that I’ve enjoyed reading stories. I mean, I love stories. I can’t think of a better way to read a story than to read the words of a writer. If I’m going to read a story, I have to read it right now.
So that’s the end of the first part of our interview with Arkane Studios. I’m sure that I’ll have more questions in the future, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, here are some of our favorite recent Arkane games.
The first game in Arkane’s new “Space Pirate’s Curse” series is a free-to-play adventure, and it’s no stranger to the genre. This time around, the game’s plot takes a dark turn as the game’s “curse” begins to take over the world. No longer are the pirates who have been terrorizing the galaxy fighting alone.
Here’s a brief synopsis that would take a lot of time to explain. This game, for example, focuses more on the pirates as they fight in the game’s universe, while also taking us on a ride on the beach to explore the island’s many underground tunnels. The game’s second game, though, is a no-story adventure, and it’s the first game that we'll be covering today.
The game begins in one of the island’s tunnels.
As you ascend, you discover the story of a group of pirates. The pirates were created by a mysterious “curse” that has been around for ages, and that curse has turned these pirates into something that looks suspiciously like the Dark Side of the Force. The pirates, though, are fighting this curse to save the entire galaxy from destruction.
You can fight the curse by clearing out eight squares of the map, but that’s not all. The game also features eight more stories, each with a different set of characters. The story is a mix of different genres, starting with action-adventure, sci-fi, and other sci-fi tropes.
It’s a beautiful concept, and it works really well.
It’s a shame that it’s so short because if it was longer, it would have had a much bigger impact. I can’t wait to play it more.
It’s kind of a joke to me, but it’s funny to me too. The game can be a nightmare to play, especially if you’re an artist. I don’t remember the games ever being played in the first place, but I would say it was a lot of fun for people who have had fun playing the game.
The game can be a nightmare to play, especially if you’re an artist.
In fact, it can be a nightmare for me now that I can take a picture of my character and say, “Holy shit, that’s my face!” When I look at my character, I can see his face, but I can never be sure about his face.
It’s something that I think is interesting. We have a game that has 8,000 words, only four of which are actually stories. The other six are all “backgrounds.” Like, “this character is a vampire” or “this character is a biker.”
I think it’s cool that the developers have been able to take the time to make these stories as compelling as the story in the game.
For a game that has an eight-hour campaign and a single-player campaign, it’s surprising that the developers have been able to make these stories as compelling as the game itself. The developers have also been able to take the time to make them as unique as the character and setting in the game.
I’m going, to be frank: I don’t want to spoil anything, but some of these characters and settings are absolutely gorgeous. I’m looking forward to the game's release for sure.
